Legends of Lokrum, Lokrum Reserve
Zagreb / 2016. / Ivana Dabrović
About project
The pop-up exhibition "Legends of Lokrum" was installed in the Benedictine Monastery in Dubrovnik. As a cultural heritage site, the challenge was to intervene in the existing fabric with 'humility and respect' by setting up a dismantlable 3D installation in a vaulted stone space. The exhibition, mounted on dismantlable steel frames, was assembled in five working days and transported by ship and barge from Zagreb. The amorphous structure, resembling the shape of the Island, was made of layered plywood, evolving through its volume and printed narrative.
