About project
The incubator in Potpićan involves the repurposing and reconstruction of a former industrial coal separation facility. A "middle-ground" approach to renovation has been proposed—partially preserving the existing structure while significantly adding a new layer tailored to future needs and functions. Spanning 9,000 m², the design features a modern façade, a public ramp encircling the building, and a green roof. A multifunctional hall is added at the top of the structure, intended for both incubator users and the local community.
About authors
Žunić, Ph.D., M.Arch., MDesS, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb, where he's an assoc. prof. Postgrad at Harvard, postdoctoral training at ETH Zürich and Columbia Vlahek graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb, participates in research and urban-architectural projects.
