Revitalization of the Drava’s Old Bathing Area
Varaždin / 2014. / Kristina Škrokov / Janko Jelić
About project
The project revitalizes the abandoned area of former pools and a bathing site, affirming existing environments. The complex includes new tourist amenities such as walkways, open spaces for events, and recreational facilities, while preserving the memory of the bathing site designed by Stjepan Planić. It also incorporates the ‘Drava Museum,’ introducing a new cultural and tourist attraction for Varaždin and the region, while taking into account the significance of the Drava as part of the Mura-Drava Regional Park, UNESCO Mura-Drava-Danube Biosphere Reserve and NATURA 2000 network
