About project
The neglected market space was integrated into the urban fabric by removing the existing fish market building. The market thus opened to the street, inviting interaction with visitors. The new fish market building is set further within the plot, enabling better pedestrian circulation. The new market canopy is precisely inserted between existing buildings, filling the gap like a patch, while its white steel structure balances the existing visual cacophony.
About authors
Born in Zagreb in 1980. Co-founded ARCHIsquad – the Architecture Conscience Unit – in 2005. Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb in 2006. Established and has led the SODAA office since 2010, with focus on conceptual thinking and contemporary design and construction technologies.
