This monograph compiles the author's most significant urban studies (76 studies), primarily focusing on heritage-related research and the preservation of Croatian historic towns (aligned with the theme of reuse). The work is structured into two anthological sections: the first contains extensive scientific and professional studies, while the second includes smaller contributions such as symposium abstracts, book and exhibition reviews, editorial introductions, and commentaries on competitions and urban practices.
About authors
Zlatko Karač (Vukovar, 1961) earned his degree and doctorate at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb, where he is now a tenured professor. He focuses on the history of Croatian architecture and urbanism and the preservation of architectural heritage, particularly through urban planning.
