Zipline Rijeka
Rijeka / 2019. / Mia Roth-Čerina / Tonči Čerina
About project
The zipline plunges from Gradina, through the Rječina canyon, and ends at the Exportdrvo building. It amplifies the thrill of such a flight while drawing on the legacy of industry in its materialization. Made from scrap metal, it parasitically attaches to the Exportdrvo building, becoming a beacon of a joyous future that incorporates the waste of the past. Landing at/on Exportdrvo is possible in two forms: into the 'mouth' of a zoomorphic scaffold on to the northwest edge or through a hole in the attic dressed in metal scales.Diving into the unkown culminates the bold freefall experience.
