Reconstruction of the Roman Theater
Pula / 2013.-2022. / Emil Jurcan
About project
Above the archaeological remains of the Roman theater, a new perimeter was constructed. nFragments of a lost platonic order hover above the ancient structure. A lattice steel framework confronts the stereometry of the stone mass. The preserved archaeological park incorporates a stage for contemporary performances. The cultural landscape has thus been connected with the authentic nature of culture. Over the old Rome rises a new Babylon.
