About project

Medprostor's restoration of the Vrlovčnik Rural Estate—isolated in the Slovenian mountains, valleys, and forests—is an architectural collage of materials, times, and meanings, achieved through a radical surgical intervention on traditional agricultural structures. This work juxtaposes the old and the new, conventional and radical, anonymous and specific, enigmatic and clear, intellectual and emotional, functional and non-functional. (Juhani Pallasmaa)
