(De)construction
/ 2024. / Jana Horvat

About project
The short essay “(De)construction” initially responds to the ‘never demolish’ concept of Lacaton & Vassal. The text explores tensions between construction and deconstruction, alongside the inevitable conflict between remnants of the past, present needs, and visions of a (better) future. Does deconstruction sometimes liberate the space for a (new) dialogue? Writing establishes layers of textual dialogues and/or monologues, mirroring spatial ones.
