About project
Accepting the thesis that the house's primary duty is towards the urban context and public space, the proposed two-part composition pulls the ALU building back, forming a square in front as a transitional zone between the street and park. A clear distinction is made between conventional and experimental – smaller format exhibitions and permanent collections occupy the upper floors, while raw underground spaces are reserved for free forms. Through reuse, the house appears as a quiet brick monolith, shifting focus to the artworks rather than the architecture.
