Magnifiers of Natural and Technological Elements: Revitalization of the HE Piva Dam Surroundings for Tourism

The grandeur of the landscape served as the starting point for this award-winning project. Five magnifiers of present natural and technological elements represent the reuse of discovered spatial facts: a tower in front of the dam, a plateau at the dam’s level, a tower behind the dam, and a floating platform that, at the reservoir’s highest level, is attached to the lake’s left bank. As the water level drops, the platform slides down a ramp to dock at the opposite bank. The platform houses a restaurant with tables at the level of the movable water mirror.
