Bivouac: Intervention on a Medieval House
/ 2023. / Ema Dabrović /
About project
Project created during the first year of the Faculty of Architecture as part of the bivouac assignment.
The location is a hill near Osor (Lošinj), with 13th-century ruins built from stone without mortar. It involves an inversion enriched by program and materialization: the house becomes a garden, and the house courtyard transforms into a light, transparent polycarbonate addition integrated into the surroundings. The bivouac is divided into five zones. It cateres to users seeking an escape from fast paced life with the possibility of extended stays thanks to a garden with seedlings.
