Access and Presentation of the Petrapilosa Fortress
Buzet / 2013.-2020. / Vjekoslav Gašparović
About project
The project for the access and presentation of the Petrapilosa Fortress was developed and revised from 2013 to 2019. It was streamlined to focus solely on infrastructure for horizontal and vertical movement and the organization of occasional events on the site. New architectural elements were created using 3 identical components: 2 types of flat sheet metal and oak beams. The design process also included research into materials and methods for accelerating the corrosion of self-protective steel aiming to remove corrosion by-products before its integration into the castle walls.
