About project
A street-level space in a historicist building was transformed without structural interventions. The realization merges architecture and fashion design techniques into a unique conceptual whole. The primary design medium is an elastic translucent fabric tailored and sewn using couture principles, without substructures, and installed exclusively with point anchoring. The entire space is 'dressed' in this elastic membrane, which simultaneously serves as a design element and a system for achieving diffuse lighting.
About authors
The author has experience in realizations, competitions, exhibitions, and projects in architecture, interior design, and public spaces. She has received awards both domestically and internationally. She works in practice and teaching, and runs the VIA office.
