Riding Hall – Land Registry Department of the Municipal Civil Court in Zagreb (OGSZG)
Zagreb / 2022 / Davor Busnja
About project
The existing Riding Hall, consisting of a large hall and an entrance annex, gains a counterpoint in a transparent addition that forms an entrance hall in the format of a passage between Baron Filipović Street and the future Justice Square. The riding hall's format influenced the rhythm of programmatic sections combined with clearings, allowing natural light into the workspaces. An ambivalent dialogue between the strong contrast and careful layering of the new within the old is consistently executed in the programmatic and structural composition, material selection, and design.
